Brian Ortega Slapping The Korean Zombie's Translator Is Our 2020 Bitch Move Of The Year

Alright, so this story has been marinating for a few days now, but we've got a ton of details now so I could really cover it all.

On Saturday night, at UFC 248, Brian "T-City" Ortega walked right up to Jay Park - singer and translator for The Korean Zombie - and smacked him right in the face. He did this because of a recent interview Park translated for Zombie where he claimed Ortega was ducking him...

Kinda fuckin bizarre to go after the translator of the dude you wanna fight for...you know...translating, but it gets worse.

Brian Ortega waited until The Korean Zombie got up and went to the bathroom to walk over and slap Jay Park.

That's not only a bitch move - those are the actions of a bully. It's a world class fighter walking up to a popstar and hitting him while he's defenseless. Ortega claims he was doing more than just translating, and instigating, but that's already been disproven by folk who are pointing out that Park translated Zombie's callout word-for-word. Ortega's just grasping at straws there.

Here's Jay Park himself describing the altercation…

I've generally been a fan of Brian Ortega throughout his career, but this is impossible to defend. I don't know if he's a hardo or just can't hold his alcohol or what, but this just ain't the move pal. It's not what someone who represents mixed martial artist would do. Nobody thinks you're a badass now, Brian. Nobody is gonna hesitate to call you out, in fear that you're a man of your words and will smack them. We just think you're an asshole.

Good luck with Zombie! Have fun with that guy in the cage!

We've since gotten apologies from Brian Ortega himself…

…and Rener Gracie, his coach and "older brother"…

…but I don't think anybody really cares much. Actions speak louder than words and nobody likes a bully.
