David Ayres Has The Chance To Make History As The World's First Ever Dual-Sport EBUG

Do you believe in Miracles???

Because that's what it would take for David Ayres to get his first shot in cage during an NLL game, but crazier things have happened before. Mainly a 42-year-old Zamboni driver hopping in during an NHL game and registering a win against the Toronto Maple Leafs after shutting them out in the 3rd. So if David Ayres can get that done then who knows? Anything is possible.

Some people are just born with that fire in their belly. They want to be the best but they also realize that the best is something which can never be achieved. You can always be better. So is David Ayres going to be content with being the best Emergency Backup Goalie in NHL history? For sure not. Now he's going to set his mind on being the best, and only, dual sport EBUG the world has ever seen.

From what I can tell, I don't think there's ever been an EBUG situation in the NLL before. So I don't want to be the guy who gets up here and roots for at least 2 goalies to get injured so that Davey Boy gets his shot here. But let's just say that one goalie is feeling a little under the weather and can't go that night. The backup maybe has some sort of equipment malfunction and needs to head off for some repairs. That's when David Ayres' time to shine. It probably won't be in Saskatchewan since I'm sure he still has Zamboni duty to keep up with in Toronto. But the Toronto Rock still have 3 more home games this regular season. If you believe in anything, you'll believe in David Ayres.
