Italy Has Cancelled All Sports Through April 3rd

Wow.

I'm not sure how the Italian Olympic Committee has jurisdiction over Serie A, but according to all reports the Serie A season will be put on the backburner for a while. I'm surprised to see them not continue playing behind closed doors, but I guess this shows the severity of what's happening in Italy.

Now, the question is what happens to Juventus, who is slated to have a home game against Lyon in the Champions League next Tuesday. You don't just cancel Champions League games. It'd be like cancelling a Wild Card game in the NFL playoffs because Seattle is in the middle of a Coronavirus outbreak.

This isn't the flu, y'all.
