(Source)Robert Kraft and the Patriots presented local boy Danny Nickerson with a unique birthday present this afternoon on the Gillette Stadium game field. Nickerson, who was diagnosed with an inoperable, chemotherapy-resistant brain tumor in October, said he only wanted cards for his sixth birthday, which is today, and he has been flooded with tens of thousands of them this week. Kraft and the Patriots invited Nickerson and his family to practice today, but in awesome fashion, the 6-year-old already made plans to go to LEGOland. Afterward, though, Nickerson visited Kraft in his office and later walked to the game field with the Pats owner. Kraft presented Nickerson with a gigantic birthday card that was autographed by Bill Belichick and the entire team. They also gave him Patriots-themed LEGOs and a No. 6 Patriots jersey, among other things. That’s a tremendous gesture by the team.

Lottaaaaa anger on the internet today. Needed a feel good story to get me back to even. Keep crushing it Danny, we’re all behind you.

PS – How about Danny switching up from Superheroes to LEGOs? C’mon dude! I got you a Batman card. Had I known you were having a LEGO birthday I would’ve gone that way with it.
