NYCFC Gets A Red In The Third Minute, Falls To Columbus

Folks, this is what we like to call a rough start. It sucks losing a guy to a clearly inadvertent foul, but that's just the last defender rule, baby. NYC adapted by subbing out Medina for Ibeagha, who later got hurt and was replaced with Parks. The game was just a shitshow and a really hard way to start for Coach Ronny. Yea, I call him coach ronny. Who cares if he isn't my little league coach. Anyway, they were mostly on the defense for the rest of the game, failing to take advantage of their very few opportunities on net. I think Heber probably should have been subbed for Taty earlier, only because Taty plays with so much more pace than him and could have kept more offensive pressure on. Also, this ref SUCKED. Not just for city, but for Columbus too. He missed and blew calls for both sides throughout the game which was incredibly frustrating. Whatever. I can't take away from Columbus's lone goal, which was an incredible upper 90 hit from new-blood Lucas Zelarayán

Also, shoutout to Sean Johnson. He was under fire basically the whole game and the only way the ball got past him was that beautiful shot.
