Mikael Granlund Ties the Game With 0.1 Second Left, Scores the Game-Winner in OT

OH MY GOD.

Mikael Granlund, you beautiful man! What an unbelievable finish to regulation and overtime for Granlund and the Preds — and it comes in the biggest game of the season so far, to boot. Unbelievable.

So first, Nashville goes down 3-2 with just under a minute left and looked like it was going to suffer a pretty brutal home loss to the team directly ahead of it in the Wild Card standings. But then, the Preds get the puck into the Calgary zone and Granlund is able to sneak it in with quite literally no time to spare. It crosses the line the instant the clock hits 0.0. I've never seen something quite like it.

And then, riding the high of the game-tying goal, Granny comes back down on the other end of the ice and delivers the game-winner to the back of the net to give the Preds two points they had no business getting. What an unreal ending.

I take back anything I might have said as recently as this week about having lost the Fiala—Granlund trade or about trading Granlund at the deadline for meaningless draft picks. I take it all back.

What a freaking win. Three dubs in a row. Six of eight. Let's keep it rolling.
