Brett Gardner Had To Get a Restraining Order From a Crazy Woman Who Kept Stalking Him And Calling Herself His Future Wife
Yankees slugger Brett Gardner has reportedly asked a Bronx judge to keep a crazed fan — who calls herself the baseball player’s “future wife” — away from him and his family.
An attorney for Gardner filed an order of protection against Gina Devasahayam last week in Bronx civil court, according to NJ.com, which reported Monday that the Yankees want her banned from all MLB ballparks.
Devasahayam, 46, who says she’s the founder of an anti-aging biotechnology company, sued Gardner, the Yankees and MLB last year after she was booted out of Yankee Stadium during a playoff game in October.
You know when the hashtag #LetBrettBang became a thing last year I didn't think someone would take it literally. This story has been going on for a little while now and it gets weirder and weirder every time I revisit it. Basically there's a woman out there who calls herself Brett Gardner's future wife. She has a Twitter account dedicated to professing her love for the Yankees outfielder. She shows up to games and thinks Gardner is giving her signs in the dugout to have sex. It's fucking bizarre. This is a little glimpse into her Twitter account. It is not a parody, this is all serious. Think about all the weird shit you've ever done. You don't hold a candle to this crazy lady.
Yeah...I don't know. We all love ourselves some Gardy, but this is insane. During last year's postseason the Yankees kicked her out of a game because well...she's out of her goddamn mind.
Finally Gardner took action against her last week and filed a restraining order. The Yankees want her banned from every ballpark and I don't blame them.
“You know, when he plays, he signals,” Devasahayam told the news outlet. “They have their own signals, first of all, for pitch type and all that. … And then there’s another thing called romantically and sexually signaling toward me. That is how our relationship has progressed because he has started sexually signaling toward me.”
The fuck did you just say? I don't know if you can actually suspend her from Yankee Stadium and every other ballpark, but this stuff is crazy. If I'm Gardner's actual wife, Jessica Clendenin, I'd be freaking out. Get this woman some serious help and #LetBrettBang on the field and off field to his real wife.
