The Charmin Soft MLB Could Learn A Thing Or Two From Manchester City's Suspension By UEFA

Hey....Manchester City......SEE YA BITCH:

This is all for Manchster City's "serious breaches" of UEFA's financial rules....specifically, UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

City's rule-breaking is a little hard to explain. This article by The Guardian does a great recap, however, the TL;DR version is that Manchester City overstated its sponsorship revenue between 2012 and 2016. This allowed them to spend more money than UEFA allowed under the Financial Fair Play regulations. It was pretty much tax evasion by the club's ownership.

UEFA came down HARD on Manchester City for breaking these rules. Not having the chance to play in the Champions League for 2 years is massive and hurts the club in multiple ways, but most of all financially. Transfers won't want to come as much as they did in the past. The club will make less money not going far in Europe's top club competition. UEFA sent a massive message to everybody else today.

The MLB could've done something similar, but they didn't. Who made the right decision? THat's up for debate. However, Rob Manfred is the pussy in this situation....for better or for worse.
