"Fire John Idzik" Billboard Going Up In MetLife Stadium Parking Lot

NYDN – Jets GM John Idzik is about to receive a loud and clear message from the fans. The creators of firejohnidzik.com, a website aimed to get Gang Green’s GM fired, raised its goal of $10,000 and will be purchasing a billboard in the vicinity of MetLife Stadium to further voice their displeasure with the organization and its general manager responsible for the team’s 1-8 start. “We realize that this billboard will not – in itself – get John Idzik fired,” the website founders said in a press release. “However, it is a symbol that fed up Jets fans are now organized and our collective voices will be heard.”

This is so stupid. Trust me, I understand the frustration. Watching this team and looking at some of the bums out there on the field, I’m not the biggest fan of his either. They are complete devoid of talent at quarterback and the secondary, and his draft looks more and more shitty every week. I’m not gonna go into how I think its still to early for this sort of criticism again. I’ve done that before. Of course everyone needs to be held accountable for this mess and he’s certainly not without blame. But this sort of over the top, trying to be funny, attention whore protest is such a bad look for the franchise. First of all, it feels like we’re crying wolf. Like after about 5 minutes with Idzik as GM we’re putting up billboards and people are fucking donating their own money to this dopey cause? John Idzik ain’t even the worst GM in this city. Like there are so many other owners/GMs/coaches/players from the Mets/Jets/Knicks stable that deserves this sort of treatment well before Idzik. Its just so fucking dramatic and so early. And most importantly its a bad look for the franchise. Its just another embarrassing black eye for a team with an already lame reputation. Not to mention who’s gonna want this job next when he knows these are the assholes you have to instantly please no matter what the circumstances are?

There comes a time when every coach or GM needs to go but spare me the histrionics from the fans.
