Lundqvist & The Rangers Ready To Slash The Kings Series Lead In Half
Friday the 13th in Hollywood? Sounds like the perfect night for a guy in a goalie mask to resurrect his team when everyone’s written them off for dead. Stealing Game 4 at MSG & avoiding the sweep is all well and good, but take down another tonight when all of LA is set to party with the Cup all weekend? That’ll make a Game 7 for all the marbles a legitimate possibility as opposed to the pipe dream it is right now. The Rangers should feel confident. In what was probably the Kings most dominant performance of the series, NY finally saw the good side of luck and rode a virtually unbeatable Lundqvist to a W. Plus, the two best games the Blueshirts played were the first two away from home. The last time I saw a little bit of luck draw blood, the big bad favorite got his ass kicked in front of all his fans.
Following up Wednesday’s victory with another tonight will be a colossal haymaker. Considering how 3 of 4 games could’ve gone either way, the Rangers have more than a puncher’s chance to land it. It’s not gonna be easy, but winning a Cup isn’t supposed to be. VIVA LA BLUESHIRTS!!
P.S. – Ryan McDonagh doesn’t lose on his birthday. No way.
