Rangers Trip To The Stanley Cup Finals Starts Today
The mantra of the playoffs is to just make the dance & anything can happen. 16 squads with hopes of playing for Lord Stanley’s Cup. While that’s great for NHL marketing and motivating teams in the early rounds, now’s where the Cup is in sight. There’s just one team left in each other’s way to see who meets for all the marbles. For the Blueshirts, that team is the Montreal Canadiens. A Habs bunch that’s reeled off a series sweep of the Lightning & took out the supposed beasts of the East – barely trailing in any game besides Game 5 while doing so. It’ll be important for the Rangers to get the jump if they want to steal one in a building they’ve struggled. Here’s the series schedule:
Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. at Montreal
Monday, May 19 at 8 p.m. at Montreal
Thursday, May 22 at 8 p.m. at NY Rangers
Sunday, May 25 at 8 p.m. at NY Rangers
*Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. at Montreal
*Thursday, May 29 at 8 p.m. at NY Rangers
*Saturday, May 31 at 8 p.m. at Montreal
After a pair at the Bell Centre, they play just once in 5 days. While NY has proven no series lead is safe, it’ll be a huge edge to take an early win where they’ve not only lost 9 of 10 trips but have been blanked in half as well. The Canadiens only home loss this postseason was an OT nail-biter to the B’s. Taking away Montreal’s comfort level in their own living room puts them in unfamiliar territory – and considering the Blueshirts track record in Game 2’s (0-for-8), today’s the day to do it.
LET’S GO RANGERS!
