Salem Psychic Studio Being Investigated By Police For Charging Customers To Remove Curses

 

SalemPatch – A Salem psychic studio accused of accepting more than $16,000 to protect a man from an evil curse has been denied a chance to renew their license. At their meeting at the City Hall Annex Tuesday night, the Salem Licensing Board declined to renew the Store Fortunetelling License and two sub-licenses for Fatima’s Psychic Studio on Hawthorne Boulevard after it was determined that there is an active police investigation into the studio. The City of Salem Code of Ordinances, Part III, Article II, Division 2, Section 14-27, defines fortunetelling as “the telling of fortunes, forecasting of futures or reading the past…” The ordinance does not include removing of curses or evil from a person.

 

I don’t even know what we’re talking about here? A Salem psychic studio is in trouble for offering to remove curses for a price? Umm isn’t that what psychic’s do? Like if I walk into a psychic studio in the Halloween capital of the world and they don’t offer to remove a curse on me I’m pissed. Why do you think I walked into the damn psychic’s studio in the first place? Because I’m worried about KO Barstool and Erin Andrews sticking needles in Pageviews Voodoo Dolls and shit. Duh. I just feel like once you step inside a psychic studio it’s just a given they are gonna try to sell you on stuff like this. If you fall for it that’s on you. So this whole thing makes no sense. You want to investigate somebody investigate the entire town of Salem for calling themselves a tourist destination. Now that’s highway robbery.
