Richard Sherman And I Are Not Impressed With The Browns Choice For Head Coach

Alright, I'll go on record and say that I'm not happy with the Browns choice for head coach. There's 5+ other people I would've rather had coaching this team, but I'm a 26 year old blogger sitting on my couch, waiting to order wings here in a bit before today's playoff games. My opinion does not matter. But someone who has a little credibility about the NFL, who actually is pretty busy right now, took the time out of his schedule to chime in immediately with how ridiculous this hire was:

For the usually mild mannered Richard Sherman to have this type of reaction and immediately head to Twitter is not a good sign. I'm afraid that for the first time in one year, the Browns have once again whiffed on their head coaching search.

And I know it's ridiculous to base our entire future on one game yesterday, but the two finalists involved, SF's DC Robert Saleh and the Vikings OC Kevin Stefanski, did go head to head less than 24 hours ago. And that game was so completely one sided and dominated by Saleh's defense that Browns fans like myself simply cannot have a good taste in our mouths right now. I mean, the Vikings scored 10 points. They gained 147 total yards and only got 7 first downs. Stefanski's offense literally could not move the ball against Saleh's defense. And the Browns must've loved it!!

I'm sure Sherman was probably implying a little bit about how Saleh is a minority and got passed up on the job, but my take is that Saleh is simply the better coach and got passed up on the job. Anyone with two eyes saw it yesterday. The Vikings had 7 straight 3 and outs.....he'll fit right in in Cleveland!

In the end though, Richard Sherman, your boy Saleh is probably the real winner of the day. Sure, he didn't get hired to be one of the 32 head coaches in the NFL, but he doesn't have to go to Cleveland and coach the Browns. He's going to fit in much better in Detroit or Atlanta next year.
