NYDNPhil Jackson is considering signing Lamar Odom, the Queens native who is trying to rebuild his career and personal life. ESPN, citing unnamed sources, reported that the Knicks are interested in signing the veteran forward to a deal that would include an option for next season. The 34-year-old Odom attempted to make a comeback in Spain but it was cut short last month after two games due to a back injury. Odom is currently rehabbing in New York and met with Jackson at halftime of the Knicks-Nets on April 2. Odom played for Jackson with the Lakers for six seasons and won two titles. Last offseason, after spending the 2012-13 season with the Clippers, Odom was arrested on a DUI charge and reportedly suffered from substance-abuse issues.

There’s somethin you might not know about me Phil Jackson! I smoke rocks!

Jiminy fucking Cricket this is some sort of joke right? This is Phil Jackson’s first move? This is the step he takes to turn this franchise around? Signing a washed up crack head? This is not like signing Derek Fisher or someone from his Lakers dynasty years that can still contribute as a veteran presence. This is Mr. Khloe Kardashian who quite literally flushed his life down the toilet with an addiction to homeless people drugs. 3 games to go before this nightmare season ends and then we can look forward to a 2014-2015 season watching Tyrone Biggums hoop.
