Scott Boras Has The Baseball World By The Balls And He Knows It

Scott Boras has all of the power in the world right now and he knows it. He's the personal gateway to Gerrit Cole and Anthony Rendon for the top contending teams in baseball. Just now he held his annual Winter Meetings press conference where he loves to tease the hell out of everyone. Just look at that first quote....

“The Cole negotiations with all clubs are very positive. The Yankees and a lot of the other teams involved in this did a great job.” - Scott Boras

There are so many ways to word that sentence, but only one way to trigger the entire baseball community. He knows exactly what he's doing by naming only the Yankees. He's trying to trigger the Angels and anyone else in the running to pay more for Gerrit Cole's services. He wants a true bidding war and it's probably going to work. We've also got two mystery teams now. Not one, but two! Sure we do Scott! He then went on to compare the market to a thermometer because of course he did. 

There's no one out there better than Scott Boras. Look at the way he commands a room. You'd think he was the President of the United States. 

He's a living god. Just off this offseason alone he'll clear $40 million by himself from the 4% he gets on new contracts. What a king. 

Who knows how long this drags on for. It could end tonight, it could conclude by Thursday, or we could be here until January.
