Joe Burrow Wanted To Go To Nebraska, Scott Frost Said He Wasn't Good Enough

SOURCE-Before landing at LSU as his transfer destination, former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow expressed interest in attending Nebraska — twice — but was told he was not good enough.

"I've been told I wasn't good enough since recruiting," Burrow told Tom Rinaldi during ESPN's College GameDay interview Saturday. "I had one offer after my junior year of high school and it was my dad's (Ohio) team. I wanted to go to Nebraska, they told me I wasn't good enough. And Ohio State was really my only big-time offer."

Coaches miss on recruits all the time. Mack Brown missed on Johnny Manziel. Everybody missed on JJ Watt. However, it's not every day that you get to get a do-over when you misevaluate a recruit.

Scott Frost wasn't the coach of Nebraska when Joe Burrow was coming out of high school as Mr. Ohio. He was the incoming coach at Nebraska when Joe Burrow hit the transfer portal, though. What did he do?

It's all worked out for Joe Burrow. Can't say the same for 5-7 Scott Frost.
