Movies With a Millennial, Episode One: Rocky IV

After spending twelve days in a car and traveling North America with Paul Lo Duca and Big T, Paul and I realized that there was an enormous amount of movies that Big T hadn't seen. Like classic American movies, he had just never seen. The more we discussed them the more I thought it was incumbent upon me to educate him and thus the youth of America. Big T needed to widen his horizons. We decided to watch these movies together and get his thoughts on them for those who may not have had a chance to see them either.

The first movie we chose was Rocky IV. Now Big T has never seen a single Rocky movie, which to me is unfathomable, but it is what it is. You may be wondering why we didn't start with the original Rocky. That was intentional. I don't think Big T would enjoy it. It's a slow burn and doesn't seem like his cup of tea. Rocky IV is fiercely patriotic and loaded with action. I was able to explain the basic story of Rocky to him in a few sentences. I mean let's be honest, it isn't the most intricate plot of a movie ever written. So here is the first of what we are calling Movies With a Millennial. Enjoy.
