So What Are You Supposed To Do Every Sunday When Your Favorite Football Team Sucks Ass?
Before I get started here, I would like to mention that past 24 hours has been a horribly depressing experience and I'm just trying my best to work through it right now. My brain is broken, my spirit is in shambles, and I'm just trying to pick up the pieces.
I realize it's not like the Eagles have never sucked before or anything like that. But for the first time that I can remember, I legitimately hate this team. I hate the coaches, I hate the players, I hate the GM, I hate looking at all of their stupid faces. And it's not even because they're bad at football or anything like that. I could live with the fact that they're just not a very good team. Most of the guys on this roster currently have a Super Bowl ring so you can't tell me that they're simply just bad at football. Instead, it's the fact that this team doesn't give a single shit. This team has no heart, they have given up, and they are a broken football team from the inside out. So if the team doesn't give a shit themselves, then why should any of us give a shit about them in return?
But that brings us to a bit of a predicament. Because we found out that the Eagles are a complete goddamn disaster when there are still 4 weeks left on the season. I mean we've known that they were bad for awhile now but the loss yesterday was the dagger that said this team doesn't have the heart to turn it around this season. And now we have 4 more weeks of Eagles games that are on the schedule, but who actually wants to watch that shit? Especially because the worst thing this team can do now is win football games. The more they win, the worse their draft pick gets. The more they win, the fewer amount of coaches and players get let go at the end of the season. So if you actually submit yourself to the torture of watching these final 4 Eagles games, you should be rooting for them to lose but you know that they're so dumb that they're going to win.
So now what? I guess the simple solution is that you just watch RedZone and cheer for your bets and fantasy team. But as far as I'm concerned, football is dead and I need to find something to do with my Sundays because I can't handle screaming at my TV for another 4 weeks. And the worst part about this is that when you find out your favorite football team sucks ass, it's usually cold as shit outside. It's not like you find out your team sucks in the summer and you can just head to the beach or something. You can't just hang around outside all day. It's cold. It's dark. It's a miserable existence and I genuinely would like some recommendations on what to do with all this free time I now have on Sunday afternoons. Do I read a book or something like that? Do bookstores even still exist? Maybe I'll just buy a big puzzle or something.
