The NBA Is Coming To Iowa.......For A Preseason Game
DES MOINES, Iowa – Sources have confirmed to whotv.com that the Golden State Warriors will play the Denver Nuggets in an NBA preseason game at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Officials will hold a press conference on Thursday morning to announce more details about the game. Former Ames High School basketball player Harrison Barnes, who plays for the Warriors, will be at Thursday’s press conference. This will be the first time in 17 years that an NBA team has played in Des Moines.
Well isn’t that a coincidence. I’m seen hanging out with billionaire NBA owner Mark Cuban on Wednesday and then on Thursday an announcement comes down that an NBA game is going to be played in Des Moines for the first time in 17 years. Hmmmm. Do the two have anything to do with each other? I’ll let you decide but the answer is probably yes. No way Cubes wasn’t flat out impressed by my presence and instinctively knew that the NBA needed to at least test Iowa as a potential market. Ya know, get a feel for what we’re all about. He’s no dummy. You don’t have a net worth of $2.5 billion dollars without understanding which way the winds are shifting and those winds are shifting in Iowa’s direction. That Cuban is one smart cookie.
