The Toronto Sun Thanks The Blackhawks For Beating Us

Things like this are a little piece of solace I find in the Bruins losing the cup in absolutely heartbreaking fashion last night. People aren’t happy Chicago won, they’re happy Boston lost. I’m OK with that. It’s just like the Torrey Smith thing yesterday. Everyone knows who’s on top of the sports world  day in and day out and they’re just happy we’re down for a minute. It’s how you know you’re king. When cities that didn’t even get invited to the dance are happier with your loss than they are saddened by their own. All the Boston haters will be coming out of the woodwork today to try and rub it in your face but just remember: they don’t heckle the bench players, they go after the stars.

Oh and the Sox are still in first place. Remember that too.
