If you missed the first trailer, pretty much everyone despised it from fans of the video game to casuals like me. In a rare case of Hollywood actually listening to their consumer, director Jeff Fowler actually listened to the criticism and took the time to fix something people didn’t like.
6 months later and BAM, new movie! I feel a couple ways about this. I think it’s really cool that Fowler listened to the public and fixed the design. I also think the new design definitely looks better. However, I do think it sort of sets a bad precedent for filmmakers. Us, as an audience, are generally dumb as fuck and don’t know what we want until we see it. Also, in a more micro scale, I don’t think the redesign is going to help this movie much. It probably is still gonna stink, and now it is prob decently over-budget. This movie stars James Marsden (X-Men), Jim Carrey (Ace Ventura) and Ben Schwartz (Parks and Rec).
