Hometown Hockey Visited The Bissonnette Household In Welland, Ontario Today

Sportsnet visited Welland, Ontario today for Rogers Hometown Hockey and for those who don’t know, Hometown Hockey is a pretty cool event put together by Rogers and Sportsnet in Canada to celebrate a local hockey community. This week, it was Welland, Ontario home to Dan Giaradi, Dan Paille, Matt Ellis, Andre Deveaux and none other than Paul Bissonnette.

It’s a pretty cool experience first and foremost for the community. Any time they can do a live broadcast from a town like Welland, it’s great for the community. Second, it’s cool for the players. It gives them to opportunity to go back and thank some of the coaches and people who helped them get to where they are today.

Well, the cameras were rolling at the Bissonnette household today and you got an inside look where Biz’s parents live and the shrine they have for him. Pretty cool stuff to hear his parents side of things in regards to Biz’s junior career and winning the Calder Cup in Manchester.

Shoutout to that marketing genius Biz for getting the Pink Whitney some camera time too. Genius move. Nothing like some free marketing for America’s favorite vodka.
