Le'Veon Bell Thinks The NFL Did Sam Darnold Dirty By Broadcasting Ghosts Comment

The biggest question I had coming out of last night's Jets game (outside of why they don't know how to block a blitz/run a hot route) was how the NFL's mic'd up process works. Obviously, the comment of the night came from Sam Darnold as he was sitting on the sideline:

Manish Mehta's tweet above gave a bit more clarity.

Le'Veon Bell sounded off on Twitter:

I agree with Le'Veon….to an extent. NFL players being mic'd up is some of the best content that comes out every single week. It's awesome and gives personality to players, something the NFL often struggles with. Where I do agree with Le'Veon is the NFL HAS to be careful with what they release. Comments can be taken out of context.

Sam Darnold will have to deal with the ghost's comment for the rest of his career. He gets paid millions of dollars a year, so I'm not going to write a "feel bad for Sam Darnold" blog. He can also solve this whole thing by, you know, playing well. That may not be possible, though. Also, Sam Darnold was gonna get embarrassed no matter what, last night. The NFL isn't the reason why the QB who went 11-32 for 86 yards and 4 interceptions was embarrassed on a national scale.

The NFL also has a trust issue on his hand, now. If I was a young QB, I wouldn't agree to do a mic'd up. I don't want to be the next Sam Darnold.
