Dog Gets An MBA

Opposing Views - It takes a ton of work, time, energy and money to get an MBA, but those who have done it agree that it’s all worth it in the end. Well, scratch the money part. One dog only needed $7,300 to get this prestigious degree. Wait, what? BBC Newsnight heard about the American University of London (AUOL) practice of awarding people with degrees based on their past experience. So the news program decided to test it out by applying for an MBA for a dog named Pete. A fake resume was submitted to the school, along with the application, listing 15 years of job experience. No background check was ever performed to make sure that resume was legitimate, and after paying the fee and being accepted, Pete the dog was awarded the degree4 days later. When questioned about it’s practices, AUOL maintains that what it does is legitimate, while acknowledging that it is not an accredited university. According to MSN, the school is currently blacklisted in five U.S. states and you can actually get arrested in Texas if you try to use them as a qualification to get a job. Still, AUOL defends what they do. “We are not a bogus university … and have always been upfront about our status,” AUOL told BBC Newsnight in a statement. “We have not applied for accreditation with any American, British or other official agency. Many graduates go on to higher education or hold important positions on the strength of our degrees.”

In case you were still under the impression that an MBA is worth anything at all, today we bring you this story of a fucking dog who got his degress from a “University” that will just retroactively give you a diploma for 7 thousand bucks. So if you’re keeping track at home, that me, KFC, a smut peddler, and Pete the Dog who technically have MBAs. Pete is probably putting his degree to more use than I am. But the point remains – an MBA is the biggest scam going. Just a complete waste of time and money. And I’m not just saying that since I basically threw mine in the garbage. Aside from networking, there’s really no inherent value. Its just more dumb ass business courses where you regurgitate shit for a test or a paper, get your grade, and get to put three letters next to your name. I’m sure you can apply to a few more jobs with that qualification, I just hope taking out like 2 zillion dollars worth of loans and taking classes while working full time is worth it.

Anyway, if you absolutely need your MBA for a promotion or a certain position or whatever, the American University of London is whats up. Just make up a resume, like 10 years worth of fake business experience, pony up 7500 bucks, and bingo bango, you just graduated. Then you can tell people you got your MBA in London and they think you’re smart as fuck. Double whammy snake move. I promise you, you’ll be just as smart as the sucker who spent like 5 years taking 2 classes at a time paying 60 grand a year for a real MBA.
