NBC Connecticut – Aryn Leroux, 32, was arrested in West Haven, Conn., on an outstanding warrant after tweeting threats directed towards the Mets organization. The West Haven resident was charged with threatening in the second degree and breach of peace following a joint investigation conducted by New York Police Department’s 110th Precinct detective squad, the Queens District Attorney’s office and West Haven Detective Sean Faughnan. Leroux allegedly made a “specific threat to Citi Field,” home of the Mets, in addition to threats directed at the Mets organization, players and executives. He is being held on $2,500 bail with an upcoming arraignment at Milford Superior Court.
Handsome fella, huh! Look I’m not sure what Aryn said here. Unless he was tweeting out pictures of the bomb he made in his basement and the Wilpon’s home address, I can’t imagine this is any different from what goes on with Mets fans all across the internet every single day of the year. I threaten to kill myself and others on a daily basis. I can absolutely guarantee you I’ve threatened to kill Jeff Wilpon on many, many occasions. So I’m just dying to know what it takes for Aryn Leroux to get the NYPD knocking down his door. I figured that over the years Homeland Security was monitoring all my tweeting and blogging and they were just like “Well its the fucking Mets, can you blame the guy?” and thats why I didn’t get locked up. For fucks sake a couple weeks ago I tweeted I was gonna blow up Time Warner HQ and said “This is not a joke. Very real threat.” and I got absolutely nothin from law enforcement. Almost makes me jealous of Aryn Leroux. Like bro I am the suicidal/homicidal Mets fan. Thats who I am. Guy just blew me out of the water at my own game.
