Kyle Shanahan Admitted He Hated Pretty Much EVERYTHING About Working For The Redskins
Imagine not being able to say a single good thing after working somewhere for 3 years. Not a single good thing except that he enjoyed working along side his dad and he didn’t mind a few of the players. You can hear it in his voice how much he despised his time in DC and how happy he is to be out of there. You usually hear coaches toe the company line when it comes to questions like that, saying “I enjoyed my time there, learned a lot, and I appreciate them giving me an opportunity”, Kyle Shanahan basically said “it was fucking terrible and Bruce and lil Dan Dan are the worst people to work for in the world”.
And can you blame him?
He threw additional shade too:
While it’s clear Shanahan has not forgotten his tumultuous time in Washington, he insists there is no added motivation this week against the Redskins other than trying to get his team to its first 6-0 start since 1990.
ESPN - “That was a while ago. I’ve been in three different buildings since. My dad retired. He’s good. We’ve accepted what we had to deal with there and moved on. We’ll watch other people deal with it.”
“What we had to deal with there” and “We’ll watch other people deal with it” are so telling. I’m just imagine Kyle and Mike cracking some beers and talking about how ridiculous of a time it was in Washington. Telling story after story about insane things Bruce and Lil Dan Dan said. I would absolutely love to meet Kyle at a bar and just listen to him tell stories about his time in Washington.
I mean, Kyle can say this game on Sunday isn’t personal, but you know he wants to embarrass the Skins. And you know I’m here for it. I love the players but I want to see Lil Dan Dan suffer. I want him to be embarrassed by his old coach in his own stadium. A guy he ran out of town. I’m expecting the absolute worst. Be easy on us, George Kittle. Please. Or not. Whatever.
