It's The Year Of Our Lord 2019 And Notre Dame Will Not Be Going Undefeated

That’s it. Notre Dame officially NOT undefeated in 2019. It should be noted that the only team capable of beating Notre Dame so far this year is Notre Dame. Penalties, play-calling, and a couple of terrible turnovers and that really was the difference. Notre Dame has ONE dude on the team. Chase Claypool. Dynamic guy. Can’t cover him. He’s too big. Great deep threat. They completely abandoned him for like the first 56 minutes of the game. Inexcusable.

When you look at the schedule it’s pretty easy to look at a path to 11-1 because USC stinks, Michigan is bad, Stanford is god awful, and Virginia was losing to Old Dominion at home tonight for a while. Those were the other “tough” games for the Irish. Not exactly the strongest schedule this year. Notre Dame needed this one in Athens. 11-1 probably won’t be enough to get in the playoff this year even though they can clearly compete at the highest level. If Georgia is the 3rd best team in the country then Notre Dame must be 4th. They were right there with Georgia between the hedges and shot themselves in the foot too many times to overcome. I don’t want to take any moral victories out of this one, but anyone who says that ND can’t compete with the big boys is a fucking moron. If you have two eyes you can tell that they’re just about as good as Georgia and if you have a brain you know they played Clemson tougher than Bama did last year. Brian Kelly is the best coach they’ve had since Holtz. A few more dudes on offense and an o-line that can start plays on time and Notre Dame is right there with the elite. Need Georgia to run the table now so the Final Four can be Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. Good night. Go Irish, 11-1
