New Video Shows Kash Daniel Doing A Kurt Angle Ankle Lock On Florida QB
Our Kentucky guy hasn’t blogged the biggest news story surrounding Kentucky football in a year, so I guess I’m going to have to do it. No big deal, I guess Kash Daniel is a friend of the program or something so he doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers. Whatever.
On Sunday, a video of Kash Daniel sort of went viral.
As you can see, it appears that Kash Daniel is pulling an old ankle wrench in the pile on Florida QB Kyle Trask. The weird part came after the pile when Trask responded and Kash Daniel got in his face like he was called Hitler:
Kash Daniel responded to the dirty play allegations earlier in the week:
SOURCE-“Do I talk a lot of crap? Absolutely,” Daniel said. “Do I pop a dude here and there to get underneath his skin and talk while I’m doing it? Absolutely. It’s part of my game. It’s what I do. But am I out there deliberately to hurt anybody? Absolutely not. I’ve kept my mouth shut about it. I’ve been biting my tongue about it as long as I can because that’s something I actually hold close to me. I’m a victim of a dirty play. If you don’t believe me I’ve got a plate and seven screws in my right ankle to prove that. I’ve got a scar running halfway down my leg.
“I’m not out there to hurt anybody,” Daniel continued. “My hand that I had surgery on, (the other hand) got stepped on as it was going down. This surgically repaired hand has two screws in it. If enough weight is still on it it still hurts like you know what. My hand is caught underneath (the pile). I instantly get stepped on. I’m trying to move shit around. I pulled my hand up at the last second because I pulled it out. I got it stuck underneath a lineman’s leg with all that weight on it. I pulled it free from that, kept moving stuff, kept hitting legs and finally it came through. Maybe he felt something weird. I don’t know. But I’m not out there to twist no one’s ankle or hurt nobody. End of story.”
A fair response by Kash. However, a new video surfaced from the sideline that shows Kash’s story about his hand being “caught underneath (the pile)” completely untrue:
The only way we could see Kash’s hand stuck underneath the pile is when he is literally grabbing onto Trask’s ankle:
He then turns the ankle as he lifts it up:
I mean that was textbook Kurt Angle ankle lock:
Is this that big of a deal? No. I bet it happens all the time in piles. Does that excuse Kash Daniel from making a dirty play? Of course not. I get that he was trying to save face, but lying about it is also mega lame. It’s clear what Kash was doing.
Some on Twitter are very mad at Kash. Me? I guess, I am? It’s kind of like coming home to your Puppy peeing on the couch. Yeah, you’re mad, but you expected it. Kash Daniel is kind of dirty? Shocker.
