Rice's Band Gave A Beautiful Tribute To Texas For Their Historic 2.89 GPA

Saturday’s Rice – Texas game wasn’t a close one on the scoreboard at the stadium, but on Vegas’ scoreboard, it came down to the wire.

The kickoff return was certainly a great moment, but the Rice band won the game.

This, of course, is in reference to the Texas tweet over the offseason bragging about their phenomenal 2.89 GPA:

Rice checked in at 17 this year in US News World & Report’s college rankings. Texas was 47th. GPA’s don’t win football games, but this was a hilarious dig at Texas from Rice. Certainly made Texas fans mad online, not that that is very hard.
