Russell Westbrook Is Going To Go On An Absolute Rampage Next Season After Learning His 2K20 Rating
I have to give Westbrook credit, he kept his composure much better than I anticipated when this video first started. Let’s just get this out of the way now, a 90 is too low for Westbrook. You can hate how he plays, you can think he’s selfish, but it’s simply too low. You can’t be on a run of three consecutive seasons averaging a triple double and be outside of the top 10 in 2K ratings. In my opinion, he should be in the AD/George/Dame zip code around 93 to 94. I know these are things that can change during the regular season, and I know Westbrook just put up one of the worst shooting seasons we’ve ever seen, but that doesn’t mean 90 is right. For example, part of his stats are a 90 on dunks. For comparison’s sake, Donovan Mitchell is a 95 and DeMar DeRozan is a 90 as is Jayson Tatum. Westbrook is way closer to a Donovan Mitchell in terms of in game dunks than DeMar DeRozan. He’s one of the most ferocious in game dunkers the league has. He’s fearless, he dunks HARD, and he has no problem putting whoever on a poster. That right there should have been enough to get him higher than a 90 overall.
I know Westbrook tried to cover up his anger and say it doesn’t mean shit, but look how he threw that tablet. It’s killing him inside. When have we ever known Russell Westbrook to react like a normal human being when he feels slighted? Never that’s when. He can make all the jokes about it he wants, I would be scared shitless if it was my job to come up with his rating after seeing this video. As we know, NBA players care way too much about their 2K rating and use it as motivation. That would excite the hell out of me as a Rockets fan. There’s already doubts out there if Harden and Westbrook can work together, the last thing I would want as an opposing Western Conference team are more reasons for those two to feel slighted. Westbrook is such a basketball psycho even the most insignificant slights can turn him into a monster and I feel like a low 2K rating may just be one of those things. Having him the 5th best PG in terms of ratings is 100% not going to sit well and as an NBA fan I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us next season. I already thought we were going to get an exciting version of Westbrook next season, and this pretty much confirms it.
This guy is a 90? No chance
