Andrew Ference Talks About The Resiliency Of Boston

I’ve said it before I’ll say it again. Hockey players are different. They just are. Like lots of Boston athletes have chimed in with tweets supporting the city. All of them have said all the right things. But for some reason when guys like Andrew Ference and Shawn Thornton talk it’s just different. They speak like they are really from here. They speak like you or I would. Like a guy who lives in the North End and is truly part of the community. Guys that plan on living here and raising their families the rest of their lives. Guys that don’t think they are better than the average schmoe just because they are professional athletes.  Just another guy in living in Boston doing their job being party of the community. It’s not lip service. They’re in it with us. That’s how I always feel like when I hear Bruins players talk.  (Tim Thomas notwithstanding)
