Like I mentioned in a blog last week, the MLB should be highly concerned about running out of baseballs now that Bryce Harper has Dad Strength up at the plate. Not a single ball is safe anytime Daddy Harp is up to bat, and the Reds found that out the hard way yesterday. However, Bryce Harper isn’t just limiting his damage to the baseballs anymore. In fact, he has his eyes set on opposing fans in the crowd. Doesn’t matter if you’re 40 years old or 14, Bryce Harper is going to find you and Bryce Harper is going to troll the soul straight out of your body. Like this little kid who made the mistake of telling Bryce before his at-bat that he is a Notre Dame fan.
Hits his 30th homer of the season and promptly throws an “O-H” right into this little twerp’s grill piece. It’s September, Charlie Manuel is the hitting coach, Bryce Harper is a father, and he has nothing but chaos and domination on his mind. Sure seems like now would be a great time for some folks to start deleting their “the Phillies are going to regret signing Bryce Harper” takes because I don’t see this heater stopping anytime in the next couple of months.
P.S. – Pretty cool of Bryce to have an actual human interaction with this kid here. Those are always so much better than the typical just hands the kid a ball type of moment. You get a baseball from Bryce Harper, you probably end up forgetting about it within a year or so. You get trolled by Bryce Harper about college football fandom immediately after he went yard, you remember that for the rest of your life.
