Courier Press- Using two wreckers, employees with Tri-State Towing managed to remove a 2003 Ford Taurus from a sinkhole at West Oregon Street and Main Street in Evansville on Friday afternoon. Timothy Stone, of Evansville, said that he and three passengers were in a car heading east on West Oregon Street at Main Street in Evansville, when they stopped for a stop sign and then the car “felt weird” and started to sink. They were able to get out of the passenger side of the car and then the front of the car went down into the hole. No one was injured.

What the fuck is going on around here (AKA the world)?  The frequency at which sinkholes are happening is a little alarming, no?  I don’t know if it’s because all of our phones have cameras on them now so seeing them is easier or what but it seems like every other day a car, a building, a football field or a group of people are being swallowed up by sinkholes never to be heard from again.  Thanks Obama.  It’s a trend that I’m not a fan of.  Nate posted a video a couple weeks ago of a sinkhole eating an entire block in Baltimore.  And now it appears the sinkholes are moving west and I’m not pleased.  You know what’s west of Baltimore (my interactions with a lot of you over the last 5 months would lead me to believe no, no you don’t know what’s west of Baltimore)?  Iowa.  The place where I live.  That Ford Taurus got swallowed in Indiana which is just a hop, skip and a jump from the very place that I’m sitting.  Couple that with the fact that I’m not losing weight (quite the opposite) and I’m a prime candidate to be digested by Mother Earth.  So if one day the blogs stop coming it’s either because Pageviews got sick of me or because I’ve been swallowed by the planet.
