The Hornets Are Going To Lose A Ton But Dammit They Are Going To Look Awesome Doing It

When your franchise player leaves in free agency and you replace him by spending a shit ton of money on Terry Rozier, you’re making it pretty well known that the next few years are going to be pretty tough. The team is filled with brutal contracts, they won 39 games last year and are projected somewhere around 23.5 wins for the 2019-20 season. Not great! Well what better way to distract everyone from your basketball product on the floor than to make sure they are wearing some absolute white hot fire flame throwback uniforms. The Hornets have been on this trail for a while, you may remember last year they unleashed these throwbacks

and now the mid 90s set is complete. Say what you want about their talent, but there is no arguing the Hornets have some of the bed throwbacks in the entire league. Between the jerseys and the Hornets Starter Jacket, this was some of the best gear of the entire 90s. Personally I think they should just bite the bullet and make these their full time look, why not remind people of the glory days when the Hornets were flirting with 50 wins? They haven’t really gotten close since those mid 90s teams so what’s the harm?

I’ve said it on the blog before and I’ll say it again. I am allllllll the way in on these teams bringing back their throwback looks. Such a no brainer decision because not only does nostalgia always play, but they’re all so much better than the super futuristic looks we see today. Don’t overthink it, just give us the classics. I’m glad the Hornets are paying attention.
