Report: Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter Were 'Basically Having Sex' All Over a Club

Hours after dropping “Slide Away” — her dewy-eyed ballad presumably about her breakup with husband Liam Hemsworth — Miley Cyrus was “basically having sex” with Carter, at Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday, Page Six is told.

“They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” said a spy. “They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together.”

A day after the “Wrecking Ball” singer and her actor husband announced that they were splitting after less than a year of marriage, pictures appeared online showing Cyrus and Carter canoodling on a boat on Lake Como in Italy.

But until now, it wasn’t clear if the pair are an item or whether that was a one-time hookup.

“They were making out all over the place, and didn’t care who saw,” said the spy, who was left in no doubt about their itemhood.

Yes, I guess this means we do know whether Miley and Kaitlynn are just a one-time hookup or an item. And when you see a couple having sloppy makeout sessions all over the place in a crowded club in West Hollywood? Well, call me a hopeless romantic and I won’t correct you. And to me, that is the very definition of “itemhood.”

Like Ria said last week when the news of the Lake Como canoodling first broke, good for these two. The way I look at it, different people handle breakups differently. There’s no right way to deal with the heartache and disappointment. And most, it’s sad to say, turn to some unhealthy coping mechanism. Alcohol. Drugs. Sex with strangers. A quart of “Chunky Monkey” and the director’s cut of “Bridget Jones’ Diary” or some such dreck.

Well these two strong, independent, successful women – bless ‘em –  chose each other. Rather than wallow in self-pity or let herself fall into a morass of doubt and depression, Miley took the healthy, positive path. The thing we can all support: Hot, same-sex makeouts in public.

Congrats, you powerful, self-sufficient, Valkyries. I think I speak for all your fans when I say we’re sorry Miley’s previous relationship didn’t work out. But she chose the right kind of rebound and we are all behind you in this time of healing.
