He's baaaaaack. I'll be the first to admit that I have zero expectations for Danny tonight, especially since he's getting thrown to the wolves right away against the Astros. But I can't help but be excited when thinking back to what Salazar once was. He made his debut in the summer of 2013, taking a no-hitter into the 6th inning and striking out 11 in the process. Later that Fall he started in the American League Wild Card Game against the Rays. We lost…..but I thought we had a future Ace on our hands. He made the All-Star game in 2016, but aside from that, his career has been plagued by injuries and average pitching.

Aside from seeing the old flamethrower back on the hill, tonight's game should also have a couple other new faces in Indians uniforms. Yasiel Puig and Franmil Reyes are expected to suit up tonight, and this instantly makes the Indians lineup 10x more potent. Jason Kipnis, I'd like to thank you for your efforts hitting in the cleanup spot, but I think we've got some other guys we might want to try out for a bit.

I'm excited for these Indians, man. We lost a very good pitcher in Trevor Bauer….but we drastically improved our ball club. Could Danny Salazar be the arm we need to fill in now? Eh…..probably not. But maybe? And I definitely know another guy coming back who can…..

Say what you want….Corey Kluber is a 2x Cy Young winner. Him returning is a huge deal. Don't let us stay too close to these damn Twins. The Tribe are about to be a scary team if we get a chance in October. Just keep hanging around, boys…
