Where I have heard something like this before? Wanting to be a Pelican forever and then leaves to team up with another star. Sounds familiar. I just can’t seem to figure out why I’ve head that before. Am I getting old?
Wait, Chris Paul did this too? No way.
All this really shows is that Zion is destined to be a Knick. There’s still something fishy about the Lakers getting the No. 4 pick and the Pelicans getting No. 1 this offseason. I’m all aboard that conspiracy theory. There’s no doubt that the NBA played a role in helping the Lakers out. I’m 99% sure of that.
Now he wants to play with his best friend again? There’s only one place for that
Enes Kanter already said the Knicks are going to get lucky with free agents in a couple years. That could be Giannis in 2021 or it could be Zion. I’m betting it’s Zion. The young core is there. Might as well put him and RJ together.
This is the late July news I needed to hear as a Knicks fan. The hope for a good season went out the window in early July it felt like. Now? Well, now we have Giannis and Zion to look forward to. Can’t wait for the Garden to be rocking in 2022.
