Report Says John Fox To Be Next Head Coach Of The Bears
Well here we go. Like I said yesterday the stupid fan in me wanted some young, sexy, up and comer (I realize that was Trestman and that I’m essentially a baby that keeps touching the hot stove) but if we’re using our brain this is the right choice. The locker room was a mess last year, this team needs an accountable, veteran coach, and that is what John Fox is. Add in the fact that you just hired the youngest GM in the League and it’s probably best to go with the safer route on this one. He’ll fix the Defense, probably drive us crazy when he gets way too conservative in big game situations, and make the Bears not awful. If I sound nonplussed it’s because I am. I know this is the right hire and John Fox will be pretty good. I just can’t shake the feeling that no one really wanted this job and Fox was chosen because of his Accorsi connection and the fact that no other team was going to hire him.
