So obviously as soon as the office closes for the week and everyone goes on vacation, some big celeb drama hits. Fran is on another Francation running around Italy and I will soon be in the Bahamas, but we can’t leave you hanging without a video or podcast giving you all the info on the drama. So let’s start from the beginning.
Yesterday it was announced that Scooter Braun would be making a $300 million deal with Scott Borchetta and Big Machine Label Group. I think it’s obvious that Taylor should absolutely own her own music and I 100% understand why she’d be upset about not having it. It does seem like there is more to the story that we’re missing here though. I feel like she was putting her anger mostly towards Scooter in the post when it seems like it should be towards Scott as well. None of us knows what happens behind closed doors though so you never know. Part of me is confused when she says that Scooter was bullying her online with the picture that Justin posted considering Justin posted the picture and wrote the caption. He even said so himself here…
It seemed like Justin was being a man in the beginning of this post by taking responsibility for the post which I thought was big of him to do but it seemed very weird he started making it about himself towards the end. This isn’t about you, this is about Taylor and Scooter having a problem and about her not owning her own music. Understandable that Justin wants to stick up for his guy Scooter 100% considering Scooter is his guy and he feels like Scooter is right but at the same time Taylor never mentioned Justin so I feel like he could have just apologized for the picture and mentioned how he believes Scooter is a great guy but not keep mentioning himself.

Don’t love how Cara dunked on my girl Hailey like that at all but I will say she has a great point. Cara is Taylor’s friend and Justin is Scooter’s friend so obviously they hear different stories and have different opinions on the situation. Not shocking. Very interesting how Scooter hasn’t said anything yet considering he’s been posting nonstop about the $300 million deal he made with Big Machine Label Group. I guess we just need to be reminded of that a few more times in his Instagram stories before we hear what he has to say.
