The Yankees MVP DJ LeMahieu Blasted Them Into MLB History Last Night And That's Pretty Fucking Cool

I didn’t put much thought into this streak until a few days ago. The Yankees had homered in a ton of consecutive games, but alright big whoop? I care about wins and wins only. Then as they tied it on Monday and then broke it last night I sat back and realized no team in baseball history had ever hit a homer in 28 straight games. I mean that’s pretty fucking cool however way you look at it. Baseball has been around for a while. We’ve got through the steroid era where 90% of baseball was juiced. The Babe Ruth, Gehrig teams. Nope, no one. The 2019 Yankees stand alone.

I’m now going to take this time to cum myself over DJ LeMahieu. I have never seen a hitter like him in my life. Never. Not one. I have run out of words to describe him. He’s a silent assassin. A heart ripper. And now a record breaker. He’s now hitting .333 on the season with 11 homers and 52 RBIs. He is undoubtably the Yankees MVP this season. He’s one hit shy of 100 already. Despite not hitting for a ton of power, compared to guys like Voit, Gary, Gleyber, DJ has the 3rd highest OPS on the team. He is a machine. LeMachine. If it were up to me he would have a lifetime contract with the team. We can never let him go. Buy a shirt.

As for the game? Seeing Aaron Judge homer again just felt right. Gleyber and the Parrot Man added two cheapies as well, giving the Yanks just enough to take down the Jays. Things got hairy in the 9th with Chapman, but he gutted it out and held on for dear life. 51-28. 23 games over .500. Six in front of Tampa. Eight in front of Boston. Just keep the freight train rolling and pray for Giancarlo’s MRI. We originally thought it was his hand getting stepped on, but it’s now his knee. Great. I’m sure that will come back with flying colors.

All Star voting starts at noon today. If DJ, Voit, Gio, Gary, and Gleyber aren’t in Cleveland I’m going to be livid. Judge still might make it because he’s Judge, but I think we all know he doesn’t deserve this one. I’m not even sure he’d go because he’s so humble.

Sweep the Jays today and let’s go to London.
