Women Arrested After Selling Porn VHS Door To Door
GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) – A Gaffney woman said she was in a bind and needed some quick cash when she decided to go door-to-door selling pornographic videotapes. Jeanette Ellis, 52, said she found a box of dirty movies on her street, and watched a few of them before she hit the streets. “I said, ‘I’ll sell them to somebody who might want them,'” Ellis told FOX Carolina’s Greg Funderburg. “I was going to get like $5 for them. There [were] like 15 tapes.” Ellis said her money-making effort was quashed when she knocked on the door of one home, where someone had called the police.
Call me crazy but I kinda just got hard thinking about VHS porn. It’s weird, this kind of set off some bell in my head. A “how bout the good ol’ days” reminder. I mean on paper this is stupid. Who wants to pay 5 bucks for a VHS porn in the day of free streaming tubes? Terrible business model. But retro is hot. It’s almost like how people say they like records better because they have that “feel” to them that CDs and mP3s don’t. Everyone is jerking off to the internet now. There’s no more “this is so hot because it’s so wrong.” Jeanette Ellis gets that and was ahead of the curve. Got arrested for being too good of a business woman.
