The Subway Series headed to the minors and it got heated. In a Triple-A matchup between the Syracuse Mets and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, a brawl broke out after Mike Ford hit a home run in the seventh inning.
Is there a more on-brand Tim Tebow move than this one? In a classic (minor league) Subway Series matchup, obviously tensions are going to be running high. They always are when the Syracuse Mets and the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders meet. So yeah, when Mike Ford homered for the RailRiders, the Mets’ Arquimedes Caminero had to throw at Breyvic Valeras. It’s an unwritten rule of the game. And then the benches cleared. And everyone wanted a piece of the other side, except for peacekeeper Tim Tebow.
God’s work never stops. Jesus stilled the storm and Tim Tebow stopped the brawl. I can just imagine what this guy was saying in the middle of the scrum. “Come on guys! Kids are watching!” or maybe even a “Let’s just all be friends!”. Hey Timmy, I love you man, but you gotta start winning over your teammates. You’re hitting a buck fifty in Triple-A and I find it hard to believe that the guys are happy with you getting all of the publicity. The media just needs to stop writing about you. And I know you’re a lover and not a fighter, but cold cocking one of these damn Yankees would’ve gone a long way for your reputation in the clubhouse. It’s time to turn heel. I miss the Tim Tebow that had fight in him. Where did this Tim Tebow go??
