Boston Is Now Tinders Biggest Market
Wall Street Journal – There’s a new app on the Apple AAPL -0.43% App Store that’s trying to turn “hot or not” into something a little more special. Tinder, launched in September by cofounders Sean Rad and Justin Mateen, is quickly picking up traction as a new twist on dating.
WSJ: Are some regions faring better than others?
We grew by 700% last month. We’ve grown over 750% in the last 30 days. Our top cities are Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Dallas and San Francisco. Boston’s grown big time in the last 30 days, particularly among the college crowd.
Hey Rad do you have anything to explain the explosive growth you’ve seen in the last 30 days in Boston? Any idea what it could be? Why one day nobody heard of it and the next day it was your #1 market? Just a random coincidence? Or did something happen? Is there a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. A dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. It is an area which we call the “Davey Pageviews Zone”.
PS – If Blackberry ever gets Tinder this is 100% going to be my profile picture…
