Rudy Gobert Takes To Twitter During Game 1 To Say The Refs Are Cheating For The Warriors

It sucks that takeaway from game 1 of the Warriors/Rockets is how bad and inconsistent the officiating was. However, the good thing is we get shit like this. Rudy Gobert out here just flat out saying the Warriors are cheating. I don’t blame him. He’s coming off a series loss to the Rockets where they were 100% called for similar fouls.

I get the frustration of other teams. This is something that was called all year and while people hate it, I get the call. It’s all about player safety just like it is in any other sport. The moment the Spurs lost Kawhi because Zaza stepped under him, it was going be a foul.

Now, someone like Harden knows how to take advantage of it. He launches a bit more and his stepback draws guys up on the close out. It’s a strategy.

Just know that Rudy Gobert is ready to call cheating if the fouls aren’t called. Especially if he gets called for them.

At least Donovan Mitchell is self aware and knows that the fine is coming.
