Weezy Wednesdays: Go DJ (Tha Carter)

Go DJ, That’s my DJ! I love this fucking song. This is the song that brought Lil Wayne into my world. This song came out in 2004 when I was approximately 10 years old and before this I was primarily listening to Eminem, 50 Cent and Ludacris. All phenomenal in their own right and some of my favorites of all time still, but none of them captured my ear like the GOAT, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. (He took the D off his first name basically to tell his absentee father to go fuck himself) No one can rap like Weezy. Literally no one. He is maybe the most versatile rapper of all time in terms of his range of flows he can master on any type of beat or track. This Weezy Wednesday we’re turning it all the way back to the mid 2000’s and enjoying the sounds of Lil Wayne just starting to reach the beginning of his prime as an artist.
