Here's A Perfect Breakdown Of The White Sox vs. Royals Bruhaha Yesterday
Jomboy nailed his breakdown here. Turned on it, flipped his back and slowly strutted for first base. Look, when anyone opines on a fight in baseball, there’s gonna be a large hometown bias talking. Examples include
– Royals Announcer saying “I’m not even sure Keller plunked Anderson on purpose”
– Benetti saying “And here come the benches, fun in baseball isn’t allowed, we gotta yell at each other because he flipped his bat because he hit a home run”
– Royals announcer saying “you can’t just show up a pitcher and not expect retaliation” and “Anderson has to be accountable for his actions sometimes”
– And Stone saying it’s so easy to avoid
And so on and so on…
I’d like to think I’m old school/new school in how I view the game. I’m ALL FOR speeding up the game with pitch clocks and shit and limiting mound visits, which pisses off a lot of baseball ‘purists’, but I also love pitchers’ justice. There is a toll for pimping out home runs. That toll is taking a 95MPH projectile to the asshole.
Now, we gotta keep the game safe. Can’t be throwing at heads. Keep it waist down and that’s that.
That said, Keller’s beanball was absolutely perfect. Anderson deserved what he got, Keller collected his fee, and that’s that. That’s baseball. Nobody should have been tossed, but if you had to toss anyone just toss the managers.
Oh, and who the fuck is this guy telling Anderson to STFU when Anderson was on first? Heath Fillmyer I his name?? Never heard of him. But apparently he’s a 24 year old JUCO product out of New Jersey so fist pumping, being a loud mouth and general over exuberance should make him feel right at home.
It’s all a bunch of bullshit. Oh and I think we know why Anderson was tossed by Joe West that fat moron:
Would have been really nice if the Sox didn’t lose Giolito to a hammy, Anderson to that bogus ejection and Moncada to a pulled labia yesterday. Would have absolutely won that game.
