50 Cent Finally Sold His 50,000 Square Foot Connecticut Mansion And Donated All The Money To Charity

Source -  50 Cent just made a massive donation to charity … and the funds are all thanks to the unloading of his mega-mansion in Connecticut.

50 just sold his 50,000 square foot pad — with a whopping 21 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms — for $3 million. A source close to the rapper tells us every penny from the sale will be donated to 50’s G-Unity Foundation … a project that provides grants to non-profit organizations that focus on improving the quality of life for low-income and underserved communities across the country.

It’s the end of an era. 50 Cent finally sold his nineteen-bedroom, twenty-five bathroom, mansion equipped with an indoor pool, an outdoor, a movie theater, a club, a casino, two basketball courts, a coy pond, a recording studio, a helipad, and seventeen pristine acres of soon to be dilapidated land in beautiful Farmington, CT. If you’re a fan of rap, you know this house. He bought it from Mike Tyson in 2007 for $18.5 million and has been trying to sell it ever since. Apparently the space was, “a bit much” for one person. MTV featured the monstrosity of a home on ‘Cribs’ back in the day, but it was scrubbed from the internet. Lucky for us, a shit ton of realtors (and Oprah) have footage of the property.

It was once listed for $18.5 million dollars, which means he sold it at an 84% discount after having it on the market for roughly twelve years. I’m not an expert investor, but I think it’s safe to say that’s NOT the best deal. Props to him for giving the money to charity, though, and even bigger props for coming up with the name ‘G-Unity.’  If there’s one thing I learned from being a z-list internet celebrity, it’s that brand continuity is important. That’s why my name is ‘BarstoolPAT across all platforms, Venmo included. No one else had  BarstoolPAT on Venmo, so I made my Venmo ‘BarstoolPAT.’  No one has sent money to BarstoolPAT on Venmo yet, but I’m sure they will. It’s BarstoolPAT.

Anyway, I thought 50 Cent was currently poor, but apparently he’s still doing okay. Well enough to donate $3 million to the charity that he has control over. That or he’s just an absolute idiot with his money. Who knows? Best of luck to the new home owner. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the cavernous empty feeling and seven figure monthly maintenance bill. 50- out.
