This Clippers Announcer Had One Of The Saltiest James Harden Takes Ever As His Team Got Killed By The Rockets

Oh yeah, that’s the good stuff. That’s some Grade A salt right there folks. Nothing better than as your team gets their shit pushed in for the local broadcaster to yell at some clouds and talk about how James Harden is cheating. How he’s ruining the game of basketball with his style of play. Inject that shit right into my veins because it is so outrageous. This all comes from Clippers announcer Don MacLean, and he went on to do the usual thing where you say things like “this style can’t win” or “the Rockets will never win a title playing this way”, almost like he forgot that if the Rockets go 1-26 instead of 0-27 in last year’s Game 7, they probably win the title last year.

Now obviously a hometown broadcast is going to say stuff like this, but you can’t sit there and say MacLean is alone here. Everyone says that about Harden and the Rockets usually because they’re just super butthurt that they are getting run out of the gym. It’s not cheating that Harden has one of the most unstoppable offensive arsenals in league history, and he knows how to draw contact. He took 12 FTA last night, which isn’t even that outrageous of a number. Lou Williams had 11 FTA for the Clippers last night, does this dude think he manipulates the game or cheats somehow? I’m going to go ahead and assume no.

I really don’t get why watching Harden makes so many people upset. They call it boring and all this other stuff when really it just comes off as jealousy. He clearly must not watch a lot of James Harden if he thinks he doesn’t pass or something and just plays selfish isolation basketball. Yes, he isos a shit ton, but he also gets everyone else involved which is what makes him a legit MVP candidate. This just came off as a “get off my lawn” type comment and really we don’t see with any other sort of MVP candidate. Are we to believe that Giannis doesn’t iso a lot or something? He’s not exactly a great passer or anything like that, but because this is Harden for whatever reason people don’t like him and would rather spend their energy trashing him than appreciating just how rare he truly is.

Daryl Morey figured out a system and a player that gives his team the best chance to win. The same way every other NBA team does, they just don’t have the talent to pull off what the Rockets do. I guarantee if the Clippers played this way and had the talent to make it successful, this dude wouldn’t be complaining one bit.
