Knicks-Celtics Won't Be An Emotional Series At All

Ummm. Can we unlock the playoff seedings? Somehow lose a couple extra games? I mean who the F wants the 2 seed now? I’d gladly drop to the 3 seed to face Chicago and they straight up owned us in the regular season. Swept us 4 straight games. The Knicks more or less smoked the C’s 3-1 in the regular season, at home and on the road. And right now I just want no part of them.

As if there wasn’t enough drama in this series. NY vs. Boston. Melo vs Garnett. An aging Celtics franchise trying to make one last run. A Knicks franchise revitalized from almost 15 years of failure. And now the storyline of the Boston Marathon tragedy trumps them all. Its just another reason why sports is amazing. The Celtics will head into the playoffs not only trying to win an NBA title, but trying to lift the spirits of their fans and their city. The Knicks will play the role of the villain – standing in between Boston and their goal. It will be emotional. It will be intense. There will be a winner and a loser. And it will be fucking awesome. Because as trivial as throwing a ball through a metal hoop seems after a day like yesterday, sports is what we love. Its what distracts us. Its what cheers us up. Sometimes its what depresses us. Trust me, I know that better than anyone. But its what guys like us live for. After the a moment of silence at the Garden, someone is gonna belt out the Anthem. And after we all dry our eyes, we’ll tip off. And for a couple hours each night hopefully we enjoy ourselves.

PS – Alright, this was my attempt to start to segue back to some normal Barstool material. I’m gonna go on to post a picture of a woman’s ass, and goddamnit, we’re gonna Guess it. And after that I’m returning to regularly scheduled blogging. If you don’t think thats appropriate or whatever, I totally understand. But I’m gonna try my best to get some laughs goin.
