UC Irvine's Head Coach Tried To Get In Oregon's Louis King's Head By Calling Him 'Queen' The Entire Game

What a move. I mean sure people will probably get upset about a coach calling a player queen. But, it’s March. You need anything and everything to get a win. You’re trying to pull an upset here.

I can only imagine the reaction on the court. I wish we found this out earlier so we could really sit there and watch Louis King react. Just Russell Turner screaming queen at him as he stands on the wing and gets ready to attack. It’s so perfect.

I can’t believe he was that open about it too. Usually people end up keeping what they say, especially to opposing players, close to the chest. But, I respect that Turner just flat out says he was calling Louis King queen in order to get in his head.

I don’t know how much it worked though. King went 5-for-10 from the floor with 16 points and 4 rebounds. That seems fairly effective for a freshman in the NCAA Tournament.
